James Wehmeyer | Partner
James has worked as a professor of media studies teaching from within the confines of college classrooms and lecture halls, and as a producer of educational media operating via online outreach and the informal settings of museums and public institutions. He continues to work as a researcher, writer and editor of promotional materials, grant proposals, treatments, scripts, multimedia content and exhibit text when the opportunity arises. He develops multimedia research presentations and creates ethnographic video documentaries for Storyline Research. He has a Ph.D. in Film and Television Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A in English and Film Studies from Indiana University. He plays bass with rock and blues outfits, jazzy ensembles and children's piano duets, though not necessarily in that order.

Barbara Burton is an applied anthropologist who brings to Storyline Research some 20 years of experience undertaking qualitative research, generating actionable insights, interviewing everyone and facilitating seminars, trainings, courses and consulting projects for clients and students in diverse industries and settings. She is a flexible and creative thinker with the capacity to adapt to wide ranging environments and subjects, and write about it. She has a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. in Sociology from Whitman College. She loves playing music with friends, laughing at what's funny, and helping to tell true stories.
